The Cost of It Uploader
The Cost of It Uploader is an internal tool that the channel owner uses to upload and schedule videos to The Cost of It’s own YouTube channel. It uses the YouTube API Services (the YouTube Data API). It runs on a computer the operator controls and is not offered to the public: there is no sign-up, no other users, and nothing to download.
What it does
- Signs in with Google (OAuth) to the channel owner’s own YouTube account.
- Uploads the owner’s finished video files to YouTube and sets the title, description, tags, category, audience setting, altered or synthetic content disclosure, privacy status, and scheduled publish time chosen by the owner.
- Reads the authorized channel’s ID and name to confirm it is uploading to the right channel, and reads the status of videos it uploaded.
What it doesn’t do
- It does not access any other person’s channel or data.
- It does not collect, sell, or share personal data, show ads, or use analytics.
